| Customer Reviews: Useful Respirator February 12, 2009 SunSpirit (New York, USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have used a number of different respirators, and this seems to be among the better ones. Definitely recommend the "flap" design, as it reduces the moisture that collects inside.
Use: Dust mask during sanding and cleaning garage. It is thicker and holds its shape better. Also excellent to cover face in bitter cold settings, as I use it when removing snow. Definitely reduces sinus irritation, and fewer colds.
If you use it during sanding and dust removal, remember that your clothes and hair will still have particulate. Immediate follow-up shower is recommended, especially if you are sanding pressure treated wood; because, its sawdust has arsenic chromate, which is toxic.
Very effective June 27, 2009 J. Foy (NC) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought these a while back and can state that they work very well. I had to bleach a bath tub in a close room the other day and didn't smell the bleach at all. One trick to help with all these types of masks is to get some spray breath freshner or the like and scent the inside of the mask as you will smell your own breath at 100x normal strength - ugh!
