This seller increased the price of this item $10 just today, probably because Swine Flu is all over the news. Seems a little shady to me. These are fine disposable masks from a reputable brand, but go to google instead and you'll find them for half the price.

These came in a box, not individually wrapped or sealed. They fit comfortably and pretty securely. I haven't had a need for them yet, and quite frankly I hope I don't. I'm one of those paranoid people who bought them in case there is an avian flu breakout. The practice drills they had at work sorta spooked me. ;)

These 3M, 1860 masks are excellent for their medical job and service use as certified by NIOSH. However, some sellers may be trying to profit from the swine flu. All respirator masks are not certified the same. If a seller operates a business other than in the medical supply field (such as autobody paint and supply, or auto parts, or other related fields, etc.) do your homework on them before placing your order. You may not receive the product you are looking for. Remember the old addage, if it sounds too good to be true, it just may not be true. Do Your Homework.

The product is as exactly as I ordered and arrived extremely fast. I bought it for the safety of our family because on the government website re swine flu, this model was suggested. These masks were hard to come by and was happy to see it on amazon.com.

Everybody is worried about swine flu these days, including apparently large numbers of people who are not hypochondriacs. Wearing one of these masks makes me look sagacious and commanding, like Dustin Hoffman in Outbreak but even more heroic. People have come up to me and asked if I work "for the government." I just give them an authoritative look and say, "Don't worry, citizen. Everything is under control," punctuating my words with decisive gestures. I used to be cool even before I wore this mask, but now I am easily the most awesome person in my county.
